2.Symplocos racemosa


S.racemosa is an evergreen tree or shrub. The leaves are dark green above, orbicular, elliptic-oblong, coriaceous and glabrous above; the flowers are white, turning yellow, fragrant, in axillary, simple or compound racemes; the drupes are purplish black, subcylindric, smooth and 1-3 seeded.
The astringent bark is given for the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery and liver complaints. It is recommended in the treatment of menorrhagia and other uterine disorder.


3.Rubia cordifolia


The roots are astringent, bitter and febrifuge. They are helpful in loose motions, dysentery, dyspepsia, stomachalgia, cardiopalmus, seminal weakness, vomiting, fever, and swellings. The leaves are helpful as a laxative, and expectorant, also in ophthalmia, hearing loss, inflammations, redness, diabetes, and asthmatic complaints. The fruits are useful in loose motions, dysentery, stomachalgia and good for heart and brain.

4.Rumex vesicarius


ü Aperient; Astringent; Diuretic,


ü The leaves are aperient, astringent, diuretic and cooling.
ü The seed is cooling.
ü It is roasted and used in the treatment of dysentery. The juice of the plant is cooling. It is useful in treating heat of the stomach, to allay the pain of toothache and, by its astringent properties, to check nausea.
ü Although no specific mention has been made for this species, dark green to brown and dark grey dyes can be obtained from the roots of many species in this genus, They do not need a mordant.

5.Blumea densiflora


Blumea is described as ayurvedic immunity boosters experts as hot, pungent and bitter; antipyretic; good for bronchitis, diseases of the blood, fevers, thirst and burning sensations.
